Rafael is the dependable one. He carries what needs carrying, handles what needs handling, and rarely makes a fuss about either.
Catalina brings the personality. Elegant, confident, and impossible to overlook, she has strong opinions and usually excellent reasons for them.
Neither would function quite as well without the other.
Light
Bright indirect light. Near a window is perfect. Avoid direct afternoon sun.
Water
Mist 1–2 times per week, or soak for 20 minutes every 1–2 weeks. Shake off excess water.
Air
Good airflow is essential. Never leave sitting in standing water — they need to dry out between waterings.
Temperature
Happy between 50–90°F. Keep away from cold drafts and heating vents.
Fertilizer
Optional but helpful. Use bromeliad or air plant fertilizer once a month for faster growth and blooms.
Signs of happiness
Vibrant color, upright leaves, new growth from center. A happy air plant may even bloom!
